Dear Pastors, Praying Friends, and Family,
First, we would like to praise the Lord and inform you that we “finally” have internet service in our home. We will now be able to start “catching up” on web-site updates, photos, etc. It may take a few days but we want to keep everyone up to date on our missionary journey.
Last Friday, June 3, we signed the paperwork to receive the property which God has provided on which to build our first church when we have the funds.
We have also found a national pastor for our first work here in Peru. We were surprised to find one in such a short time, but God is in control and knows the need.
We recently had a visit from a sweet spirited lady from Manchester England. She found us by our web site and came by to visit us while she was in Peru. During her visit, we took her to a touristic location near our city. While there, I had the chance to talk to the guide that was telling us about the site. Before we left, the guide, Pablo, bowed his head and received Christ as his Savior. What a great day that was! We are going back soon to take him a Bible. He wants to visit our church once it is started. Please keep him in your prayers.
Yesterday, we signed a rental contract on a building in which to start our first church. We take possession on the 20th and then can begin preparing the building for our first services.
We wish that we could tell you more about how God has been blessing, but it would probably take a page for each item mentioned. We would just like to say that it is great to watch God working in all of the details.
Through our email updates and prayer letters, we will soon be sharing the needs for beginning this work for the Lord. The biggest of these will be the building program. We would love to start scheduling mission groups to come help. If you or your church would be interested in being a part of this, please let us know. We will be glad to answer any questions and will do everything we can to make the trip a fruitful experience.
We serve an awesome God and it is such a privilege to watch His hand at
work. We look forward to serving Him here in Peru for years to come.
May God bless you all.
